Safety

Occupational safety is one of The Nutmeg Companies' highest priorities. We have a continuing Joint Management / Employee Safety Committee as well as a Hazardous Communication Program, Accident Prevention Plan, Environmental Protection Plan, and an active and effective Safety Program in place. Additionally we are committed to a Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace. All of our employees undergo pre-employment physicals and NIDA type drug testing. We also test current employees for cause. An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is in place for all employees and their families to be used at their discretion and with complete confidentiality.
